Monte Carlo Sprint ver. 0.3 (beta) has been released

Monte Carlo Sprint v.3.0 BETA
download link below the picture

To install this track, extract 'content' and 'system' folders to your Assetto Corsa folder

example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\

Important:
This content is changing default weather1.ini file to remove the fog.
If you don't want to change it, just don't extract "system" folder to your AC folder. The far pieces of terrain
(hills and mountains) will not be visible.

You can come back to default AC weather settings every time you want, by remove weather1.ini in your
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg folder and changing name of weather1backup.ini to weather1.ini

DO NOT UPLOAD THIS CONTENT TO ANY OTHER SITE!

Known issues of 0.3 beta version:
- some polygons missing
- no spline
- no replay cameras
- some textures are not fitted properly
- some pieces of terrain not well sculpted
- some pieces of terrain may missing
- vegetation and object placing is not finalized

We will appreciate your suggestions and bug reports so it will help to improve this project!

  1. Very nice layout mate !

I'll try to point you in the right direction, for example your track has too much grip to begin with, in the surface.ini (per assetto recommendation) you have to put between 0.95 and 0.97, starting 0.97 its the grip of a racetrack, and you should never be at 1.0.
Secondly the mesh is too low resolution yet, this gives simpler weight transfers and harsh grip variations, preventing smooth transitions in the chassis movement. I'd advise to multiply by at least 2 (even 3) the number of triangles in the road mesh.
Your scenery is beautiful, and the layout is great, I really hope that you'll work towards what I pointed as this could become one of the best roads in Assetto Corsa.

PS : I'm running the server NekoRacing - Roadtrip (we specialize hosting in roads for assetto corsa online) and as we'd love to run your track once the grip is more natural, I hope that you'll be able to fit 16+ pits on it :)

    1. Hi.
Thanks for your suggestions. Especially about grip. This project was made just with purpose of getting experience about AC and it's possibilities. The cliffs textures I used for this project was prepared for rFactor and it has a height size of 512 pixels. Now I know it's not enough for AC, however it was enough for rF.
I'll do what I can to make you run this track one day. But for now you must be patient :)
